Using the wall to practice your lifts! (My phone can’t ever get a picture of my full handstand)
First place the crown of the head against the wall. bring the hands slightly in front of the face, press the palms into the floor, and spread your fingers wide. Then bring your legs to either side of the hands (it might be easier the more wide you spread the legs) and tree the head into the wall. Engage your core and lift!!! if you cant get it the first time don’t be discouraged! Keep trying!

Today’s practice (:
1: Clif, Lara, or Luna?
LUNA all the way!
2: Favorite 'guilty pleasure' food?
I absolutely love peanut butter and dark chocolate.
3: Would you consider yourself more of a tea drinker or coffee drinker?
I love both, but I do drink coffee a lot more than I drink tea.
4: Do you exercise? Is it something you enjoy?
OF COURSE. And yes, I do enjoy getting those endorphins and feeling like I'm pushing myself!
5: Would you ever go vegan?
I have thought about it, to be honest. I might try it at some point in my life, but I know it would be difficult...I really like fish and yogurt.
6: What is your dream meal? You have no money limit, can use any ingredients in the world, and you don't have to cook it yourself.
Wow, this is hard! Hmm...
To start, I would want some sort of pumpkin/butternut squash soup....Something that's creamy but not too heavy and will still leave room for the rest of my meal.
For my main course I would want a nice salmon fillet topped with a ginger glaze and avocado slices over a bed of quinoa and some sort of avocado sauce. I would also want other veggies mixed in to the quinoa (bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots).
For dessert I would want chocolate covered strawberries and an espresso martini!
7: Do you practice yoga? If so, what are your favorite/least favorite poses?
I do practice yoga. I think my favorite pose is bridge or child's pose - so relaxing. My least favorite pose is King Pigeon because I'm still struggling with it!
8: Would you rather only eat dessert foods for the rest of your life, or never have another dessert food in the rest of your life?
Hmm...it depends what one considers "dessert" food. If I couldn't have fruit anymore, I would be so upset. I would probably just never have dessert because I would miss other foods way too much.
9: What is 'healthy eating' to you?
Healthy eating is eating clean, unprocessed foods in moderation with other treats that might not be as "clean" but are also good for the soul. It also means having a good relationship with food, and therefore not beating yourself up if you had a treat or "guilty pleasure" food.
10: What are you top three favorite fruits, and top three favorite veggies?
Fruits - bananas, strawberries, avocados
Veggies - Bell peppers, sweet potatoes, pumpkin (technically these can be both fruit AND vegetable)
11: What are your three least favorite fruits, and your three least favorite veggies?
Fruits - Grapefruit, oranges, honeydew
Veggies - peas (yuck), cabbage, brussels sprouts
12: Do you juice? If so, what's your favorite juice?
I really like pomegranate juice.
13: [If you do yoga] Do you prefer to follow along a video, take a class, or just make up your own flows?
I just make up my own stuff and do whatever feels good to me. I'll be taking my first hot yoga class soon, though!
14: If you could only drink one flavor of tea for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Definitely green tea!
15: What's your favorite nut butter? Least favorite that you've tried?
PEANUT BUTTER! I don't think I have a least favorite nut butter, I like a lot of them.
16: What store's athletic-wear do you like best? (yoga pants, sports bras, running shorts, etc.)
I really like the lululemon stuff they sell at Forever 21 - their yoga pants and sports bras are insanely comfortable.
17: If you had to pick just five foods to eat for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Ooh...I'd say avocados, peanut butter, greek yogurt, puffins cereal and ezekial bread.
18: What's your opinion on people who have no concern about keeping themselves/their bodies healthy?
Honestly, this always disappoints me and I wish people were more cognizant of their well being, but I can't judge people or force them to live a certain way. I get frustrated with people I care about and cringe to myself at how they eat sometimes, but in the end it is their choice and I can't tell them how to live their life.
19: Name a favorite of each: Drink, snack food, dessert food, meal.
Drink: Unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Snack food: FRUIT or luna bars :P
Dessert food: Red Mango frozen yogurt
Meal: Sushi, Crepes, or some kind of salmon dish
20: Do you add anything extra to your tea/coffee?
Nope, I drink it black!
21: Favorite oatmeal toppings?
Peanut butter, unsweetened shredded coconut, cinnamon, bananas, berries, unsweetened apple sauce, unsweetened cocoa powder
22: Your ultimate yoga/workout playlist would have to include what five songs?
Somebody That I used to Know (Tiesto Remix) - Gotye
The Cave - Mumford and Sons
Oil and Water - Incubus
End of the World - Armor for Sleep
Take Back the City - Snow Patrol
23: Who/what got you into yoga/running/etc. (all that apply to you) ?
Tumblr definitely helped me get started on a healthier lifestyle and more into fitness. I started running on my own, but only for small distances and short work outs. I also got into yoga because of the many lovely yogis I found on here.
I'd say the main person who got me into running was my boyfriend, though. I had been running a little before I met him, but he was THE ONE who convinced me to run the Boston Marathon this year. I never once thought of trying to run a marathon until he started talking to me about it. I was skeptical but he had so much faith in me, so I decided I would just do it. I am so grateful that he has been so supportive of me. <3
24: Do you have any 'guilty pleasure' foods?
There is this amazing place in Boston called Paris Creperie, and it is SO delicious. Any of the dessert crepes that they have are definitely guilty pleasure foods (nutella and fruit, pumpkin pie, smores, applie pie, dulce de lece)...also their Nutella Frozen Hot Chocolate (it is out of this world!).
25: (If you do yoga) Describe your perfect, dream yoga room/space.
There would have to be plenty of room and a nice, relaxing environment with good music, no noise, candles, and pillows everywhere.

YogaSlackers doing their thing, nothing short of amazing.
I LOVE this! I want to be able to do this someday!
I was feeling like crap and my legs were so incredibly sore (I guess from doing yoga last night?) but I knew I needed to get my long run done today.
I didn’t even expect to do this many miles, but I sort of couldn’t figure out the route I was supposed to take so it ended up being a lot more.
This is the most I’ve done in a single run since April 16th! Also, this is a quick pace for me over a longer distance AND I ran the hills!! :)
(I think it was the fact that I made a new running playlist…haha)
