Instead, my valentine gave me one month of unlimited boxing lessons - and I couldn’t be happier!!
Flowers are nice but they will die eventually. I have always wanted to learn more about boxing and try it out…I am pumped to get in wicked good shape and learn the techniques! My boyfriend gets to join me at the lessons for free for one week, too. =)
The card he gave me said, “Roses are red, violets are black and blue, I’m punch-drunk in love with you!”

This morning I completed my 14 mile training run in the snow. I was really worried about getting out there and slipping on ice or something, but it wasn’t that bad at all. Since I went out earlier in the day, the snow flurries were small - it was actually quite beautiful and peaceful at times.
After my run I felt pretty accomplished… I’m so glad I was able to just get it done and over with. I went to a Superbowl Party and actually felt like I could enjoy myself. I felt better about the ridiculous amount of food I ate there especially since I knew I was in a major calorie deficit.

The pictures of my watch NEVER import onto my page the right way (I already rotated it, but it still does this…). Anyway, I maintained a 10 min pace - I haven’t been fast lately but I’m trying not to overwork myself like last time.
We did some Pilates in between the dances, which meant never ending leg lifts and clam shells.
My butt and the back of my things are so incredibly sore. Running tonight was a nightmare because my legs felt like a ton of bricks. I ended up only doing 5 miles instead of my usual mid-week 6…
I know taking the class was probably a mistake. I’ve over worked my legs before by lifting while training for a marathon and it was just bad news. Sigh…I’m hoping they feel better soon :(
Saw this today thought i would share. I think it’s important to note. PS he is beach body trainer i follow.
that is me right now, ughh a lug
Interesting…
I stepped out of my usual routine tonight and took a class called “Cardio Jazz Funk”. It was sort of like an aerobics class but we learned a dance sequence at the end and practiced it like 8 times before the end of the class. I used to learn these dances all the time when I was a cheerleader in high school, and they always came very natural too me. But tonight, it was almost like I forgot how to dance! It felt so strange, but I eventually got into it and realized how much I actually do miss dancing.
Then I went for a 3 mile run and worked on biceps and abs. I’m making it my goal to be able to do 5 pull ups and a decent amount of proper push ups in the next couple months. I really want to build my upper body strength. For some reason even hanging on the bar makes me anxious, so I’m really hoping I get over this!
Not worrying about my time, just happy with my distance today of 9 miles.
Someone once told me patience is a virtue.
Anyone want to give me some insight on the experience? Should I attempt it?
I’d be on a team with 3 other guys, one of them being my boyfriend. It would be May 14th in Boston, about a month after I’d run the Boston Marathon.
What other training would I have to do? Would running the marathon make me ready enough for this? I’m actually nervous about signing up, but I really want to show myself I can handle it.
Thoughts?
“You won’t wake up to get to the gym by 7 am”
Well guess what? I did.
So get at me.
Puppy kisses!
Not letting this injury stop me from working out…
